| The Oklahoma Individual Golf Tour and it's members will abide by the USGA's rules of golf. The tour may add rules as the year progresses as we see fit to improve play. You are responsible for learning the USGA's rules of golf. O-Tour eligibility requirements: 1. If you have ever played on the PGA or Nationwide Tour you are not eligible. 2. If you're membership to any other Pro Tour has been dormant for a year or more you can play this tour. 3. If you have been a member of any other Pro Tour for 2 years or more and have won money you are not eligible for this tour. Each player will be given a rules sheet at registration. 1. All yardage devices are legal in O-Tour events. 2. If you hit your ball out of bounds or in a hazard don't spend all day looking for it, a few minutes is fine. Follow the rules of golf for penalty stroke and drops. O-Tour staff cannot be with every group all the time. If there is a question on a rule play two balls, record both scores and when your group returns we'll decide how to rule the situation. 3. 14 club max 4. Follow the rules of golf for provisional shots. 5. Play the ball down, everywhere. No foot wedges, hand wedges, etc. Your playing just like the pros. 6. Call each course prior to event for dress code. Or just wear a collared shirt and no blue jean shorts or jeans. 7. Every stroke counts. Finish every hole. There are no gimmies or mulligans. 8. You will not keep your own scorecard. Each player will be required to exchange score cards with your playing partner. After completion of your round submit your playing partners signed score card with gross scores per hole. Include your current handicap on that card with both a Gross and Net score. 9. If you sign an incorrect scorecard you will be disqualified. Once O-Tour staff begin to post scores after a groups round they become official, thus the incorrect scorecard rule takes effect. 10. If you miss your tee time you may be disqualified, if you are late there will be an automatic 2 stroke penalty and you will tee off last. 11. Follow rules of golf for, unplayable lies, artificial obstructions, casual water, ground under repair, water hazards, etc. 12. If you accidentally cheat, or unknowingly commit a rules violation and sign your scorecard you will be disqualified. If there is a rules question, the foursome involved need to document the question and bring it to the attention of the O-Tour before cards are signed. 13. There will be no +4 rule in effect, unless scoring gets out of hand. Then it will be on a per flight basis. When this rule is put into effect it will be posted on the Event Details page of the O-Tour website. 14. A net of 6 under par will be in effect for all flights 15. Cheating and bad behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! 16. Please keep up with pace of play, replace divots and fix ball marks. 17. The one ball rule will be in effect for all O-Tour events. 18. Please leave your cell phones and pagers behind. If you must have them, keep them on silent. 19. Players are responsible for damage to course or course equipment. 20. Score cards must be signed, attested and submitted as soon as players have finished their round. 21. Players will play two to a cart and two carts per group. You'll play in a foursome. 22. O-Tour director reserves the right to enforce local rules. 23. All driving ranges will be played out of bounds. 24. Caddies are allowed, but they must find their own means of travel on the course. Each player must ride in a cart with their playing partner. If there is an odd number in your group one player will ride by themselves. 25. Cash payouts: Ties for 2nd place and down will split the place where players finished plus the next available position. Example: T-2, second and third place money is divided among the number of players tied. 26. Point Awarding: Ties for 2nd place and down will receive the number of points for their particular place. Example: T-2, 500 points are awarded to each player in the tied position, if two players are tied for second they both receive 500 points and fill 2nd and 3rd position the next available points will be 450. 27. Maintain your position on the course. Do not move ahead of the group. 28. There will be mandatory player meetings on the first tee box 10 minutes before the first parings go off. 29. Lost Ball: If you're ball is lost you have 2 minutes to look for it after which YOU DO NOT GO BACK TO THE TEEING AREA. Drop a ball on the line it went out on and add 1 stroke. |
