Each member must provide one of the following for their handicap: *GHIN# (We will take the 3 most recent scores and put them into our system) *Golf Q# (We will take the 3 most recent score and put them into our system) *3 or more score cards, signed (Same as above) *Home course name & number, we will verify (Same as above) *Play in 3 O-Tour events to establish a handicap. (You will not be eligible for 1st or 2nd until you're 3rd event). *Handicaps will be adjusted after every tournament, up or down. If you do not have the required handicap information to us by your first tournament you will not be eligible for 1st or 2nd place. We are now using the Mark 2 Scorekeeper software for handicaps, this will be a more accurate way for us to keep track of each players handicap. The Mark 2 software uses the USGA's handicap formula. Every players handicap will be adjusted after every tournament. Your O-Tour handicap is for The O-Tour format only. In the event the Scratch flight has to play in the Championship Flight you will be adjusted to a "0" Handicap unless you current handicap holds you at an average over "0". Example: If you're a "+1" Handicap you will play in the Championship Flight as a "0". Even if you play in Scratch you must submit a legitimate handicap. Anti- Sandbagging: Everyone is concerned about cheaters, so we have implemented a new rule for just such a thing. For example, if you claim to be a "9" handicap and your first event you shoot a 3 over, the next event you play in you will play a roughly half the difference of the two scores. In other words you will play your next event as a "5" handicap. We understand that players can sometimes shoot well over the head, but for the sake of honesty and integrity of the tour we must put guidelines in to protect everyone. All money and points accumulated throughout the season will transfer if you are bumped up or down from flights. |
